Membership Guidelines

All members participating in normal sales/shows shall be members of the Rogue River Artists Association in good standing. Membership dues are per calendar year running January 1 through the following December 31 as set by the membership.

Attendance at monthly meetings is appreciated and beneficial, but not mandatory. Regular meetings are held the last Monday of the month. Currently meetings are held at the City of Rockford Community Cabin. Please visit this website for monthly meeting information.

Members pay a 10% commission upon sales of exhibited artwork, unless otherwise specified. Emeritus membership may be granted by the association board to members that were in good standing but need to drop out because of age, distance or other extenuating circumstances. Their work may be presented with a 20% commission charge on sales, but displaying it is not guaranteed. These members may attend meetings, partake in discussion of issues, but may not vote on the issues. There will be no yearly dues for these members.

All artwork for exhibit must be original work, professionally presented; that is, matted, framed and behind glass (as necessary) with wires for hanging. Work on canvas need not be framed if the edges are a painted or finished gallery wrap style. Prints, 3-D work, posters, and watercolors need not be framed, but must be covered for protection and display in bins or print racks. All work must be appropriately labeled on the reverse with the title, artist’s name, contact information, and selling price of the piece.
