If you haven’t sent in your dues yet, get out your checkbooks fast. Waiting will cost you.
After years of having our Association march along with the best bargain of all time – multiple shows as well as monthly meetings with snacks and presentations, for measly yearly dues of $25 (Single member) $40 (Couples membership) – we’ve reached a point where an increase in membership dues is essential.
We’ve planned lots of activities for the next year and have a number of new expenses. For example, we now have to buy our own event insurance for Art in the Park. We need a better way to store and move our display materials so we’ve found a trailer we want to purchase and have received a grant for part of the money, but we must make up the rest. And we’ve got other things planned that will be big fun, but need some funding.
If you’ve already sent in your dues, you’re good to go. Ignore the increase until next year. If you haven’t paid yet, know that May 15, 2017 the new rate goes into effect. To be an RRAA member and participate in our shows will cost $40 for a year-long single membership and $55 for a couples membership.
Still an incredible bargain – one of the least expensive art show participation costs in Michigan. Non-members who want to participate in Art in the Park will pay up to $90 for that one show. Our members exhibit there and at several other shows as part of their membership.
Get in your dues before May 15, 2017 and you get the old rate.
Yeah, it’s blackmail, but you know how ruthless we artists are.
